Political Debate Rules for Dummies:

Activist liberals have framed political debate to benefit liberalism at the expense of their philosophical opponents.

Their main weapon of choice is the invective. They use it, not to refute arguments, but to discredit their opponents.

Below are the Oxford Dictionary definitions of liberals preferred pejoratives:

  • Racist - A person who shows or feels discrimination or prejudice against people of other races.
  • Bigot - A person who is intolerant towards those holding different opinions.
  • Sexist - A person characterized by or showing prejudice, stereotyping, or discrimination on the basis of sex.
  • Fascist - A person who is very intolerant or domineering in a particular area.

Ironically - these definitions describe mainstream liberalism to a T.

For example, the two most prominent liberals of the past decade, Barack Obama and Joe Biden, have unabashedly made racist statements about minorities and others, with impunity, I might add.  Here’s a small sample of the enlightened inclusive comments from the aforementioned liberal royalty:

  • "I ceased to advertise my mother's race [white] at the age of 12 or 13, when i began to suspect that by doing so i was ingratiating myself to whites...”  Barack Obama - Dreams of my Father.
  • “[African Americans] are sort of a mongrel people.”  See http://youtu.be/ZerO4KZDlBY.
  • [Mexican Americans] "pick our fruit and make our beds.”  See http://youtu.be/M0FSFC95kQM
  • African American politicians were dirty(?)  See:  http://youtu.be/EgIFV7jXBFQ

Furthermore, our President Hope & Change attended a church pastored by an anti-white, anti-American - Jeremiah Wright.  He embraced the anti-white, anti-America kook - Lois Farrakhan.  Al Sharpton, a race hustler from the streets of New York, was (in effect) a race relations advisor to President Obama.

I point this out to say - Democrats, liberals, progressives (whatever they call themselves today) “leaders” don’t hate racism, sexism, or any other ism.  They are the personification of all these isms they project onto others.

All they care about is winning elections.  They care about raising money.  They care about filling their pockets.  They care about power.

They use claims of racism, sexism, bigotry, fascism, and all the other isms like Bill Clinton uses the word “love” - to end conversations before they screw their victim.  These attacks are coordinated with their elitist accomplices in the Washington DC/New York cabal.

This liberal cabal knows mainstream Americans are good, decent people who wince at the thought of being labeled a racist, sexist, et al.  Americans bend over backwards to avoid these insults by supporting conciliatory and recompensive policies.  To paraphrase John Coffey in The Green Mile “They use our decency against us.”

To level-set the debate, it is time to establish the acceptable and unacceptable parameters for political discourse.

Acceptable:
  • Criticism of any idea regardless of the race, sex, or age of the person who expressed the idea - provided it is accompanied by reasonable support for the criticism.
  • Criticism of any idea regardless of the race, sex, or age of the groups that support it - provided it is accompanied by reasonable support for the criticism.
  • There are zero limits to acceptable topics.  We can discuss and argue over: Foreign policy, war, peace, taxes, regulations, immigration, climate change, capital punishment, religion, post-birth abortion, partial-birth abortion, guns, affirmative action, wage gaps, sexual orientation, welfare, legalization of drugs, capitalism, communism, socialism, libertarianism, pollution, etc.

Unacceptable:
  • An assertion without any support.
  • An assertion that claims “all men”, “all women”, “all [fill in the race]”, et cetera are [XYZ].
  • Criticizing a person’s outward appearance without rebutting their opinion.
  • Berating or threatening a person for their political view point without critiquing their political viewpoint.

The good and decent Americans should treat name calling and other types of baseless, unsupported assertions with the seriousness of a grade school child throwing a temper tantrum.

On the other hand, non-activist liberals, i.e., normal Americans, should no longer skirt controversial topics to avoid being called a racist, sexist, fascist, or a denier.

In other words, activist liberals should no longer be allowed to avoid discussions and debate on important issues by bullying their opponents.
